Bachelor’s degree – Administration and Organization Sciences


The first level degree programmer in Administration and Organization Sciences focuses on the integration of a plurality of disciplines, in particular legal, economic and economic-business, political and sociological and linguistic, aimed at the acquisition of specialist and differentiated skills necessary for the study of the rules of conduct of both public administration and public and private companies, with particular reference to regional and local health. Vocational training therefore aims to encourage the learning of models of interpretation of the proper functioning of public and private administrations, as well as techniques that will provide graduates with the necessary knowledge to interpret the processes of organizational and managerial innovation of public administrations and deprive with particular reference to companies and organizations operating in the health field for the planning and implementation of activities aimed at promoting economic development, social and civil community, to govern the processes of change induced by the international context are to operate.

The course of studies also aims to focus on the organization of services in hospitals of all healthcare companies that, through integration with district and public health services ensures citizens the primary level of assistance in a given territory (territorial self-sufficiency). Specifically, the temporal scan of the training course on the three years provides the following: during the first year of the cds will be addressed mainly the subjects of the area of basic disciplines such as: “General sociology and political phenomena”, “Informatics”, “Private Law”, “Public Law”. These courses, will aim to provide the student with the necessary knowledge to deal with all the technical-scientific subjects of the cds.

In the second year of the cds will be proposed in addition to two basic courses (Administrative Law and Political Science) the teachings characterizing the cds as Sociology of economic processes and work, European Union Law, Business Organization. The aim of these courses will be to provide students with the necessary foundation to deal with the professionalizing subjects of the third year useful to acquire the specific skills of the professional figures that the cds aims to train.

In the third year of the course, finally, in addition to the English (basic) language, the other characterizing subjects will be addressed with the addition of two chosen courses. These courses, will aim to complete and consolidate all the expertise required to the professionals that the cds intends to train.

The first level degree programmer in Administration and Organization Sciences focuses on the integration of a plurality of disciplines, in particular legal, economic and economic-business, political and sociological and linguistic, aimed at the acquisition of specialist and differentiated skills necessary for the study of the rules of conduct of both public administration and public and private companies, with particular reference to regional and local health.

The course takes place over three years combining educational activities on historical, political and social profiles; legal; statistical; economic; linguistic, characterizing (socio-political; socio-psychological; business economic; legal) and similar (anthropological-cultural, psychological communication, medical) until the achievement of 180 CFU expected. Optional training activities are provided to ensure that students have the opportunity, especially in the second and third year, to specialize their skills.

Knowledge of methods and content for the innovative training of P.A. managers and companies, public and private, with particular regard to the health sector, through a highly interdisciplinary teaching (legal, political-institutional and economic)attentive to the efficient management of organizations, internationalization and the new role of the State in the economy.
Graduates will carry out professional consulting activities in positions that involve design, management and government responsibilities.

In order to be able to properly interface with the online activities of the Telematic University of San Raffaele Roma, students must be able to use:

  • An ADSL Internet connection or other technology allowing a similar or higher connection speed;
  • A multimedia PC, equipped with web-cam;
  • A newly released browser;

Candidates who hold a five-year high school diploma or an equivalent foreign qualification may be admitted.

The students enrolled are followed in their orientation both by the Teaching Secretariat and by the Tutors.

Specifically, the Tutoring service is divided into 3 levels:

Basic Tutoring: An entry Tutor actively supports the student and facilitates access to the various online learning environments, accompanying him in the discovery of the contents of the courses. It’s essentially dedicated to newly enrolled students attending the first year of the course.

Disciplinary Tutoring: each teacher of the individual course follows the student in the disciplinary learning of the course and in the self-assessment through specific contents and activities of reinforcement. The service is dedicated to all students of all years.

Community Tutoring and Mentoring: The Community Tutor guides students in defining the study paths within the course of study and supports students in participating in the group and community activities of the courses, in presence and electronically.

The Tutoring service is accessible through the cds platform (from the main platform page to the SERVICES section) and at the University of Rome and Milan (upon reservation).

Highly significant skills, representing fundamental knowledge and skills field of knowledge of the sciences of administration and organization, can be certified only if they have been acquired as a result of the full provision of a module specifically dedicated to them. Within each teaching, the realization of training module with specific training objectives and specific skills, gives the evaluation not only formal value but also substantial, because it provides for the achievement of the real skills possessed and the certainty of their acquisition.

Each evaluation activity is calibrated with the objectives on the training objectives and scheduled in line with the entire training path of the student within the course. Each teacher can provide evaluation tests of the achievement of the objectives in progress such as the creation of papers, participation in a collaborative activity, the administration of a test of multiple-choice questions, etc.

The credits attributed to the individual courses of the cds are acquired by the student with the passing of the relevant exam. A presence at the University is required on the occasion of the examination appeals that must be carried out in a frontal mode (written and/or oral), subject to the passing of the requirement of “presence” on the platform.

The calendar of exam sessions is published on the website at the beginning of each academic year. The possibility of implementing extraordinary sessions by resolution of the Council cds, based on the assessment of the needs of students.

The degree exam is accessed after having successfully taken all the exams of the courses in the study plan. As for the graduation, there is a test that consists in the discussion of a report in a public session in front of a commission of teachers that expresses an assessment in 110/110

Each student is equipped with a username and password for access to the educational platform and all the teaching materials contained in it.

Within the platform the student finds, for each subject, a space dedicated to his virtual class, in which in addition to a bulletin board where space is given to the teacher’s communications, There are lessons and teaching materials related to individual lessons and the course in addition to supplementary teaching resources (exercises, additional materials, etc.). There is also a forum, dedicated to discussion and requests for clarification, as well as some live sessions where provided by the teacher within the course.

The University has as its teaching platform a customization of Moodle which is the most widespread Learning Management System (LMS) in the world. Known above all for its ergonomics, Moodle has been made following the pedagogical theory of social constructivism but it is very versatile for the large amount of modules available and is highly customizable thanks to the availability of the source code. Starting from this platform, Media Touch has developed a complete solution through the creation of additional modules, customizations and integrations with other software components, in order to fully meet the requests of teachers and teaching coordinators of the Telematic University of San Raffaele Roma and to provide related technical assistance services (based on troubleticketing systems).

The didactic interaction with the students and among the students of the cds happens through the technological scaffolding of the formative environment and through the activities of information, communication and formation transmitted by the instruments of the LMS.

Each teaching of the cds takes place in a virtual environment of the LMS dedicated to it, managed almost entirely by the teacher editor who provides the organization of individual modules, their delivery over time and interaction processes. The contents, the materials and the E-trinity are realized through the resources and the activities of the LMS system and the management of the virtual class in terms of interaction and communication is entrusted to synchronous activities like webinar, videoconference, video tutorial, chat, student reception, and asynchronous, such as Forum, Blog, newsletter, mailing, instant messaging, etc.

Such systems allow one-one, one-many, many-many interactions.
Four different training strategies form the basis of the E-learning training activities of the cds – blended for the presence of training activities with practical-experiential objectives provided by the study plan of the cds, – self-education mode with tutorial support, consists of the individual courses delivered through the teaching platform (LCMS) in use at the University – sequence of E-activities included in the individual courses and in the virtual classes – community paths on the border between the individual training and the working group constituted in virtual classes of course organized by E-tutors.

The first level degree programmer and the credit system (CFU – University Credits) define a course of study based on a number of credits acquired by carrying out teaching experiences to which precise weights are attributed according to the commitment required of the student.

The parameter used as a reference (D.M. 4 August 2000, published in S.O. n.170 G.U. of 19/10/2000 n.245) is 25 hours of work (use of lessons, study, practical exercises) to obtain a credit. The complete course of study includes the achievement of 180 credits in 3 years, or 1500 hours/ year to complete the course. By getting less than 60 credits/year, they reduce work hours proportionately and increase the time needed for graduation.

The Bachelor of Science in Administration and Organization, a course of study managed remotely through the support of the Internet, allows you to customize the time and mode of study without the constraints of presence in the classroom, choose a course of studies tailored to the workload that you are able to support (credit system), communicate directly via the Internet by teleconference and email with tutors and teachers, socialize with ease and high frequency with other students of the virtual class to which they belong. A Learning Management System (LMS) platform will be used for the delivery of remote training for the realization of knowledge-based generation solutions that allow a leap in cognitive quality.

The Degree Certificate offered by the Telematic University San Raffaele Roma is equivalent to the traditional ones offered by Italian universities, with the same subjects of study, the same credits, the same workloads, the same exams and awards of the degree “in presence” and is held by professors of clear fame and/ or recognition academies.

The Online degree course of the Telematic University of San Raffaele Roma is aimed at all those who hold a five-year high school diploma. In particular, it is aimed at those who want to organize their study in a more flexible way without the constraints of time and the need for movement imposed by the frequency. The only constraints concern the presence in laboratories for practical exercises in the disciplines that provide for them.

The professions included in this class apply the existing knowledge in the field of management and control of the organizational activities of companies and public administration; work organization and personnel management; financial and accounting management of public and private companies; procurement and marketing of goods and services; communication and external and internal representation of the image of the company or of other subjects.

Graduates of the course can also carry out the freelance profession of employment consultant, after a period of practice and passing the relevant state examination, for the purposes of registration in the Register of Labor Consultants.

The training activities are designed so that graduates can achieve profiles that can be used for the management and coordination of employees of public administrations, for the implementation of specific public policies for the development and enhancement of the territory, for assistance in planning and implementation of initiatives aimed at economic and social development.

The graduate can offer their professional skills in several areas:
1. in state administration (central and peripheral), regions and local authorities as employed in intermediate positions;

2. in the administration of publicly-owned companies and companies as employees in intermediate positions;
3. in universities as employed in intermediate positions;
4. in healthcare establishments as employed in intermediate positions;
5. in the Chambers of Commerce as employed in intermediate positions;
6. in the Independent Administrations and the Authorities as employed in intermediate positions;
7. in institutions and companies that deal with the management of public policies (health, transport, management of c.d. utilities, etc.) as employed in intermediate positions.

Outside the public sector, the graduate can offer their skills to companies and private organizations and in particular:
1. in the legal offices of private undertakings as employed in intermediate positions;

4. in the offices of bodies and companies which are to help define and/or give assessments of the strategies of companies (business banks, study and research centres of companies, public bodies, trade associations, supervisory institutions, etc.) as employed in intermediate positions;

6. in the divisions of consultancy firms for public administrations as employees in intermediate positions;
